HP Challenge : Day 11.
Day 11 : What character would you say you’re the most like? Hmm…That’s a toughie. I’m not nearly as smart as Hermione, as badass as Ginny (in the books), or as “out there” as Luna. Can I be a mixture of the three? I could see myself as Tonks, possibly? I get angry when you get my name wrong, and I am pretty klutzy.
Face it tiger. You just hit the jackpot.– Mary Jane to Peter Parker
HP Challenge : Day 10.
Day 10: Horcruxes or Hallows? Since I’m not sure what you really mean, I’m gonna say Hallows. I want the Invisibility Cloak!
HP Challenge : Day 9.
Day 9: Who is your least favorite male character, and why? I’ll leave Pettigrew alone today, and go with Fenrir Greyback. Reasons why I hate him: 1) He likes to target young children when in werewolf form. 2) He likes to attack humans even when in human form. 3) He attacked Bill Weasley (the “cool” Weasley brother). 4) He attacked my beloved Remus Lupin. Therefore...
This number only exists in your imagination. Please hang up, and don’t...– Telephone operator to Yamato Ishida.
HP Challenge : Day 8.
Day 8: What would be your favorite lesson? Defense Against the Dark Arts aside, I think I would take a liking to Charms. (:
HP Challenge : Day 7
Day 7 : Who’s your favorite female character, and why? Hermione. Let’s face it. If I were ever stuck in the wizarding world fighting Voldemort and his forces, I’d want Hermione as my backup - she’s clever and talented. Tonks is a close second.
This past weekend, I had to look through family photos for “unlikely picture day” in research methods. Digging through all those old photographs, I realized two things, 1) my mom was awfully good at making smile in photos, and that 2) I miss who I used to be. I can honestly say I don’t ever remember being so happy.
HP Challenge : Day 6.
Day 6: What house would you be in? I would likely be in the house of Ravenclaw, where “if you’ve a steady mind, those of wit and learning, will always find their kind.”
These guys are hilarious!!! (: →
HP Challenge : Day 5? I think?
Day 5 (oh, it is): Who’s your favorite male character, and why? Remus Lupin. I feel he should be my obvious choice. Reasons why: 1) To quote what a piece of art on deviantart said: “He always has chocolate, and he is willing to share.” <3 2) He’s a Marauder. 3) He was the best DADA teacher. Ever. 4) He looked after Harry like a son. 5) His status as a werewolf...
HP Challenge : Day 4.
Day 4: Who’s your least favorite female character, and why? Dolores Umbridge. Hands down. Sure, Bellatrix did a lot of f***** up shit, but I don’t think I ever wanted to personally kill her - “Let Harry and the gang handle that (or Molly Weasley like the BEAST she is)”, I thought. But with Dolores Umbridge? I really wished I could “Blue skadoo” into Order...
HP Challenge : Day 3.
Day 3 : Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book? I think I shall spare Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix the anger-filled rant it deserves, and I shall pick an omitted scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 1. In particular, I am extremely upset about Peter Pettigrew’s death, or lack...
I think a little retail therapy is just what the doctor ordered.
HP Challenge: Day 2.
Day 2: Your favorite movie. For the longest time Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite movie (I’m noticing a trend here). The movie followed the book pretty well, and it had the dark tone I envisioned from the book. Plus, the dementors looked better in this movie (darn you Order of the Phoenix+ for changing them!). But then, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 1...
HP Challenge: Day 1.
Because I am an uber geek, and I just can’t seem to go to sleep, I shall do the Harry Potter Challenge! Yayyy! Day 1 : Your favorite book. Egads. My favorite book? That’s a toughie. I’m one of those people who loves to generically answer “all of them,” because I’m indecisive that way. If I really had to choose, though, I would have to say Harry...
I need to go on a spiritual journey. I need to find myself. I need to find something to believe in. Anybody wanna go to the mountains of Tibet with me?
And then there were two...
We lost Lay as our third roommate. Our househunting/apartment hunting quest begins. AGAIN. At least Kate and I can get a dog now.
Deborah (via text): I pick Starbucks. If you work there, then I get to call you "Risa the Barista!"
Kate: Haha! Post-it!! And just be aware, we WILL call you Risa the Barista, if you do work there.
Risa: Duly noted.

“Oimoi” - A Greek expression equivalent to that of “woe is me!” It is an especially useful phrase for when you’re in a frenzied state of mind and are teeming with frustration. Similarly, I like to say “eee-hoe-lay”. I’m not sure of the proper spelling of that, but it’s a Spanish slang word that essentially means the same thing. But,...
It’s the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more.– Albus Dumbledore
9: Death Violent sobs were heard. Their sound competed with the torrential downpour Attica was currently facing. Kit’s knees buckled and his body wracked violently as he wailed “NOOOO!!!” to the heavens. “Oh, please,” a sarcastic, monotone voice said. Kit glared at the voice. His deep brown eyes narrowed dangerously, piercing like daggers. “You bitch,” he seethed through clenched teeth. “Now,...
6: Obsession Kit had to admit that Kiki’s obsession with caffeine was hilarious. The girl would often go to comical lengths to ensure that her caffeine fix was satisfied, which was something the nonhuman could not understand. However, he dimly realized, she would probably say the same thing about my cigs. As Kiki glared at Merc, dainty hands poised ever so threatening on her petite hips, Kit...
5: Unbreakable “Kit! KIT!!!” Kiki shrieked as she clumsily darted towards his fallen figure. Taking a quick, agonizing glance at his side, it did not take much effort to determine why Kiki was in her frantic state. After all, from his chest to his lower abdomen, Kit was covered in third-degree burns; his skin and shirt smelled of burnt flesh. Damnit! Why was he so vengeful, he weakly thought. ...
1b -Introduction (again!)
A/n: Well, I haven’t had time to really “work-work” on my 100 themes challenge, but I’ll be posting little “drabbles” that I’ve written. These next posts were ones that I particularly liked (though not loved). (: 1: Introduction After being “caught,” the doppelganger’s appearance slowly faded away. It reminds me of shards from a recently broken mirror...
Sorbet/ice cream madness.
Kate: Ugh! One of the reasons I came here was for my organic mint chocolate chip ice cream! They don't have it!
Risa: Staring at it with doe eyes will not make it come.
The irony of the statement “I’m a lover, not a fighter” has not escaped my notice lately.
This should be interesting.
I honestly can’t remember the last time a boy sparked my interest.
Kate: So, a KA, a Pike, and a Phi walk into a haunted house...
Abe: And find a Sig!!!
Risa: *chokes on drink*

Being sick sucks. Correction. Being sick with what may or may not be the flu sucks. Correction 2. Being sick with what may or may not be the flu while systematically being a college student sucks. I have no idea how I’m going to write this research paper this weekend; especially since I seem to fall asleep every hour for roughly 2 hours. Granted, it’s a rough draft, but still. ...
